North Middle School Gym Air Conditioning - Rebid — Replace existing heat only units with air conditioning units. Provide new ductwork and diffusers. Provide associated electrical and structural modifications. Demolish existing units and ductwork. Remove and replace ceilings and lights, protect floors and cut and repair roofing as required by project. For Alternate #1, provide wall-mounted mini-splits and associated electrical requirements and condensate lines. South Middle School Gym Air Conditioning - Rebid — Replace existing heat only units with air conditioning units. Provide new ductwork as required and replace diffusers. Provide associated electrical and structural modifications. Demolish existing units and ductwork. Remove and replace ceilings and lights, protect floors and cut and repair roofing as required by project. Site work may begin as early as May 21st, 2025 and should be coordinated with Mustang Public Schools so as to not interfere with the sports schedule. Project shall be substantially complete by August 1st, 2025. Mustang Public Schools reserves the right to waive any informalities and accept or reject any or all bids. Bidders will be required to provide bid security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount if the bid is over $50,000.00 (material vendors not required). Bidder must agree to commence work on a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" and to substantially complete the project within Ninety (90) consecutive calendar days of "Notice to Proceed". Bidder must also agree to pay Liquidated Damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each consecutive calendar day beyond the date set forth for Substantial Completion. The bidder must agree to fully complete the project within Thirty (15) consecutive calendar days after Substantial Completion. Bidder must also agree to pay Liquidated Damages in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each consecutive calendar day beyond the date set forth for Final Completion. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in an amount equal to 5% of the total amount of the proposal as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and give bond as required. The successful bidder's check or bid bond will be retained until he has entered into a contract and furnished a 100% Performance Bond if a Performance Bond is required. Refer to forms, included in this specification. The Owner reserves the right to hold the certified check of bid bonds of lowest bidders until the successful bidder has entered into a contract and fumished a 100% Performance and Statutory Bond if the Owner requires the Bond. Should the successful bidder decline to enter into a contract and furnish satisfactory Performance and Statutory Bond within five (5) days after his proposal has been accepted, the certified check or bid bond will be forfeited as liquidated damages.
