The demolition of two existing water softeners and associated piping and the installation of two proposed water softeners, a brine skid, and associated piping at the water treatment facility located at 123 E 3 rd St in Montgomery City, Missouri. A wood construction wall will also need to be demolished and replaced in kind to allow for the construction. No Pre-bid conference is scheduled. A minimum of thirty (30) days shall be allowed between the date when public notice, publication, insertion, or document available in a plan room is first published or provided and the date by which bids must be submitted. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of The City of Montgomery City, Missouri, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
