Ventana Construction Corporation (VCC) is the Construction Manager for this project and is soliciting pre-qualifications to participate in the upcoming fixed-price tender. This Invitation for Trade Contractors Pre-Qualification will enable Ventana Construction and the City to determine trade capacity, skill, and relevant experience for eligibility to submit quotations and pricing for the identified work packages for the Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex, Third Ice Sheet Addition. The Construction Manager reserves the right to invite additional contractors, including those who failed to respond to this prequalification notice, to participate in any future contracting process. Work of this Contract comprises of the construction of the 48,500 sqft expansion to the existing phase 1 of the Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex. This project is inclusive of a third ice rink arena, including change rooms with showers, a physiotherapy room, a community room, and a multi-purpose room. The new addition is 2-storeys with a second level mezzanine. The structure of the new addition consists of hybrid construction using cast-in-place concrete and structural steel. The new arena includes one NHL sized ice rink with a spectator seating system on level 1 and cast-in-place spectator seating on the second level. Exterior hard and soft landscaping to include planting around an in-situ storm detention pond. Existing site conditions and work restrictions will include the coordination and maintenance of access around phase 1 of the Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex for continuous operation during construction.
