Demolition and site work for a residential development in Great Bend, Kansas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
The work involved in the demolition and cleanup of the structures includes capping off all utilities attached to the structure, demolition, removal and proper disposal of structures, trees, weeds, brush, and other debris in the general vicinity of the garage. The area where the structures stood must be leveled and graded to drain and ready to be mowed. Sewer lines shall be plugged within 5 feet of the property line. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to contact the respective utility companies to determine cost of removal of utilities on the lot if applicable. Contractors shall comply with all asbestos regulations of the State of Kansas including inspection for asbestos and removal, if indicated at time of inspection. Contractors shall also be required to file the 10-day demolition notification form ET - ASB10 with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment prior to starting the project. Contractors shall include with their estimate the initial asbestos inspection. If abatement of friable asbestos is indicated at time of inspection contractor shall submit a separate estimate for removal of friable asbestos. Contractors will be required to comply with all licensing, permitting, insurance, and bonding requirements of the City of Great Bend.
