The City of Ripley, Tennessee, Gas, Water and Wastewater Department (hereafter referred to as the Owner) is soliciting bids for a licensed Gas Contractor, with Operator Qualifications for specified covered tasks, to provide construction installation services for ~ 6,750 feet of 4" Diameter STEEL Natural Gas Distribution pipeline according to plans furnished by the Owner for contracted unit prices. The construction procedure shall be by Trenching for general laying conditions to provide 36 inches of cover above the top of the pipe. The successful Bidder, upon reward and execution of the contract, shall furnish all labor & materials, equipment, and services for the installation of 4 inch diameter steel natural gas distribution pipeline. The Contractor shall supply unit prices per linear foot for welding, and installing all such pipelines, 4" stopples & TDW Hotaps, and associated fittings & valves and appurtenances listed in Bid Schedule. All bid unit prices shall include material. Quantities will be listed with each unit price to be used solely for determining the Apparent Lowest Bidder. The Bidder shall be responsible for their early delivery. Bids delivered using the U. S. Postal Service or a parcel delivery service must be labeled on the envelope used for shipping "Bid Enclosed" and an inside sealed envelope with all required information described hereinafter listed on its exterior shall be utilized to package the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified best bidder or bidders to such extent as may be necessary.
