The City of Dayton, Tennessee, hereinafter called the Owner, will receive proposals from contractors who perform commercial diving services for Debris Removal and Cleaning of the 2.0 Million Gallon Blythe Ferry / Highway 60 Potable Water Storage Tank (Tank) located at 698 Blythe Ferry Road. The Tank must remain in service for the duration of the project. This work is being conducted to maintain compliance with Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) Rules and Regulations. Technical questions should be directed to Matthew K. Rice, P.E., J.R. Wauford & Company, Consulting Engineers, Inc., (865) 984-9638, mattr@jrwauford.com. Bidders shall provide examples of three similar projects for providing commercial diving services that demonstrate the ability to clean and remove debris from the Tank while the Tank remains in service and continues to supply drinking water to the City of Dayton's water customers. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to negotiate with the apparent qualified best bidder or bidders to such extent as may be necessary.
