The work includes tree removal, stump removal, site restoration and material disposal of approximately 75-150 ash trees on private property as part of a new voluntary, income-qualified ash tree removal program for private property owners. Work will be completed on an ongoing basis based on property owner demand. Bidders must have an ISA-Certified arborist on staff and be registered with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture's Tree Care Registry. A bid security in the amount of not less than 5% percent of the total amount bid, drawn in favor of the City of Fridley shall accompany each bid. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and the right to award the contract to other than the lower bidder, if, in their discretion, the interest of the City would be best served thereby. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days.
