As of July 23, 2024, the Town of Dodgeville has decided to not award the contract and will not be completing the project at this time. 3.5" Bituminous Concrete Pavement on 5/10 of a mile on Floyd Road at the width of 18 feet, 4 inches of new aggregate over existing subbase 22' wide including 2' shoulders and placement of new pavement surface. The Town of Dodgeville reserves the right to award the project on the basis of separate sealed unit price bids or the combined total bid received. The Town of Dodgeville reserves the right to waive formalities in bidding and to reject any and all bids or accept the bid most advantageous to the Town. No bid shall be withdrawn without the consent of the Owner for a period of forty-five days after the scheduled time of the bid opening. BID BOND: A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a licensed surety company or a certified check payable to the Town of Dodgeville in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidders will execute and file the proper contract and bonds within ten days after the award of the contract. INSURANCE: Contractor shall carry Public Liability Insurance and Workmen's Compensation Insurance that is satisfactory to the Owner. CONTRACT SECURITY: The successful bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a corporate performance bond and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, said bonds are to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the Owner. TIME PERIOD: Project must be completed by October 15th, 2024
