Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Walnut Creek, California. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

**As of July 29, 2024 The City of Walnut Creek received zero bids for this project.** The project scope of work includes preparation of parking lot, application of asphalt emulsion seal coat and restriping of parking lot according to plans (attached). The estimated project budget including materials, labor and equipment is $52,000. The City of Walnut Creek (City) is a full-service municipality serving over 70,000 residents and is located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The City is approximately 19.8 square miles in size and has a work force of approximately 400 employees. Walden Park is located in central Walnut Creek and is used by the entire community - toddlers, school aged, adults and seniors. The Friends Church parking lot is used by the Lindsay Wildlife Museum as overflow parking under a licensing agreement with the City that includes maintenance of the parking lot. The Seal Coat and Striping Project - Walden Park & Friends Church is needed to complete the restoration of both parking lots and to renew the striping for safety and visibility. The Request for Proposal (RFP) solicits responses which enable the City to select the lowest responsive bid to complete the project as detailed in Attachment A (Scope of Work). The project is located at 2640 Oak Road and 1950 First Avenue, Walnut Creek, CA 94597. All responses must be made on Attachment B (Bid Proposal and Schedule) to be considered for award. In addition, contractors must possess a C-32 Parking and Highway Improvement license, a valid Business License from the City of Walnut Creek, have a minimum of three (3) years of experience performing similar work, and demonstrate the necessary qualifications to complete the work described in Attachment A (Scope of Work). As part of the bid packet, bidders must also provide proof of insurance per Attachment F (Insurance Requirements 2-4) including Certificate of Insurance (COI) and related Endorsements. The City of Walnut Creek has determined that prevailing wages apply to this Project. The selected contractor must be registered with the State Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 prior to award of a contract. The selected contractor will enter into a Public Works Agreement (Attachment C) prior to commencing work.
