This project will replace the roof at the Surveillance Unit and Vehicle Storage buildings, located at the San Luis Division Operation & Maintenance Center. The project includes the following principal features: a. Remove and dispose of existing built-up roofing, roof insulation, expansion covers, edge flashings, counter flashings, roof jacks, skylights, evaporative coolers, equipment enclosures, ladder, gutters and downspouts as shown. b. Equipment: Remove existing equipment and store in designated location on site as shown. c. Existing painted surfaces contain lead. Asbestos hazardous materials are present in these buildings. d. Providing and Installing Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) modified bitumen roofing system, cover board, tapered and non-tapered rigid insulation, reflective roof coating, curb modifications, sheet metal work, painting and sealants. e. Extend roof utilities to accommodate raised rooftop equipment, as shown. f. Re-install existing rooftop equipment as shown. g. Seal openings as shown. h. Testing, adjusting, and balancing of rooftop equipment. i. j. Modify window frames to fit in reduced opening and install new glazing on Surveillance Unit building as shown. Add new skylights on Vehicle Storage building, as shown. k. Install ladders and guardrails, as shown.
