The Gustine Unified School District (GUSD) is seeking Requests for Proposals of grounds maintenance services as per the specifications below. GUSD is seeking proposals from experienced, professional and responsible bidders for a one (1) year term and an option to renew for two (2) additional years. Deadline for submittal of questions: August 23, 2024 Staff response to questions: August 28, 2024 Agreement presented to Board for review & award: September 11, 2024 Specifications: a. Separate proposals for each site as follows: b. Gustine Elementary School c. Gustine High School (GHS) d. Gustine High School Sports field (see Item #3 below) e. Gustine Middle School f. Romero Elementary School (Santa Nella) g. Adult Ed. (old GMS) and District Office 2. Work to be done at each site, except GHS Sports field: a. Mowing (once per week, and as needed during winter months). Mowing to be done outside of the 8am- 3pm M-F hours b. Edging c. Weeding d. Regular trimming e. Tree pruning up to 8 ft. f. Check irrigation coverage and regularity g. Repair broken sprinklers 3. Separate proposal for GHS sports fields (do not include in GHS proposal), including: a. Mowing twice a week year round b. Edging c. Fertilizing (twice annually) d. Check irrigation coverage and regularity e. Repair broken sprinklers f. Reseed football field annually in the spring (billed extra) 4. Include the following information: a. Business license b. Workers' Compensation Insurance coverage c. Proof of insurance d. DIR number e. Any special circumstances not listed in proposed specs f. Any volume discounts g. 3 References of Current Customers GUSD reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any items therein, to waive any irregularities or informalities, and to contract in the best interests of GUSD.
