Bidder shall follow all applicable state codes and regulations. All codes and regulations set forth by the state pertaining to the specified equipment included in the scope of work take precedence over the specifications supplied by Kent ISD. The bid must encompass the entire scope of the project, including configuration and installation of all components, training for IT staff and users, and provisions for ongoing maintenance and support. This should also cover any future customizations. The project involves the procurement, installation, programming, commissioning & testing of new audiovisual equipment in the KCTC Culinary Lab and Bakery Kitchen. Currently, in the Culinary Lab and Bakery Kitchen, the equipment and range hoods within the spaces do not support sightlines to wall-mounted displays and the ventilation system in these spaces is 20+ dB above the noise floor making it a challenge for students to hear the instructor without proper amplification. This technology upgrade is intended to give all students the ability to see the instructor's actions and clearly hear the instructor from each student station. This will include the installation of new ceiling-mounted monitors at the instructor stations and each student station, a camera at the instructor stations with hands-free preset recall and a professional audio system with ceiling speakers above each student station and four wireless headset microphones for instructors. A HDMI input for an instructor's laptop will be provided at the equipment rack location for presenting content to the students. Additionally, instructors will have the ability to manually select program layouts and record camera/presentation video and microphone audio to a USB flash drive or other removable storage medium via an intuitive wall-mount keypad. It is imperative that the required user interaction to utilize this system is kept at a bare minimum as to not interfere with an instructor's existing pedagogy. Required For Each Space: Install one 27" ceiling-mounted monitor at each student station. Install two 27" ceiling-mounted monitors at the instructor station. Install one ceiling-mounted PTZ camera in front of the instructor station. Install one low-profile ceiling speaker above each student station. Install and cable three step mats at instructor station. Install and cable video distribution system. Install equipment rack with equipment, appropriate blanks, vent panels, drawers, and shelves. All ceiling-mounted devices must be securely attached to structure with safety cable. Utilize surface-mounted raceway (ex. Wiremold) as required for cable management between the ceiling and the equipment rack. Utilize attached ADA compliant on-floor cable raceway (ex. Connectrac) as required for cable management between the instructor station and equipment rack. Cabling from ceiling to ceiling-mounted devices shall be run within the extension columns if possible or neatly attached to the extension columns with Velcro wrap. Utilize Velcro straps for all cable management. Zip ties shall not be used. Utilize J-hooks for above-ceiling cable management. "EZ" RJ-45 connectors shall be prohibited from use. Patch cables for connections to KISD network shall be included. Provide no less than 1 hour of system training to Kent ISD. Coordinate and verify requirements for 120V electrical and IP network with Kent ISD. Include a 1-year warranty and programming updates for all components.
