Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; water / sewer project; road / highway; and road / highway.
0.46 mi of hot mix asphalt reconstruction, storm sewer, concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk and ramps and pavement markings on Valley Avenue from Fulton Street northerly to Bridge Street in the city of Grand Rapids, Kent County. This is a Local Agency project. Net classification required for this project is 2893 Ea or 2893 K In addition to the above minimum prequalification requirement for prime contractors this project includes subclassifications of Cb, Ea, J and K. If the prime contractor is not prequalified in those subclassifications it must use prequalified subcontractors. Those subcontractors must be designated prior to award of the contract to the confirmed low bidder. Control Sec Job No Federal No STU 41000 216287A 24A0594 MI DOT - 037 - Hot Mix Asphalt Reconstruction, Storm Sewer, Concrete Curb, Gutter, Sidewalk and Ramps and Pavement Markings on Valley Avenue This work shall consist of the necessary provisions for Maintaining Traffic in and around the Work, furnishing and installing reflectorized pavement markings for new and reconstructed pavement surfaces, and furnishing and installing pre-wired traffic count and traffic detector loops with lead-in conduits and handholes in new and existing pavements, as shown on the Drawings, listed in the Bid Form and specified in this Special Provision. All work in this Special Provision shall be in accordance with Section 812 of the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction, except as modified herein.
