Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This work consists of rotomilling and resurfacing of Local, Major Non-Federal Aid Urban (FAU) and FAU streets and related sidewalk, curb and gutter, and ADA ramp work. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids; to reject the Bid of a Bidder who is not, in the opinion of the Engineer or City, in a position to perform the contract; to waive informalities, irregularities and technicalities; to reject any and all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced [unreasonable unit price(s)] or conditional Bids; or to advertise for new Bids. The City also reserves the right to award the Contract in the City's best interest, and therefore, may select a Bidder other than the lowest. The Contractor shall coordinate the work with a professional surveyor licensed in the State of Michigan during the appropriate construction activity for the purpose of placing monument boxes in the new or rehabilitated pavement. A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids Phase 1 Substantial Completion Date: December 20, 2024 Phase 2 Substantial Completion Date: November 1, 2025 Final Completion Date: May 1, 2026
