Site work for a water / sewer project in Longview, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Providing all materials and labor to construct approximately 4,500 linear feet of 6-inch and 8 inch cured in place sewer pipe lining (CIPP), 1,150 linear feet of 6-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch HDPE sewer pipe installed by open cut methods, and 1,410 linear feet of 10-inch HDPE sewer pipeline utilizing horizontal directional drilling, 7 new manholes, and a total of 34 manholes will be coated. Additionally, miscellaneous landscaping and pavement restoration will be required. Temporary access roads, stream crossings, and clearing and grubbing will be required to access certain areas of the project site. Work may require specialized equipment such as spider excavators, tracked material haulers and tracked vacuum excavators. Est. Value: $ 3,900,000.00 All Bids must be submitted on the regular bid form furnished within the specifications, and each must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the necessary additional bond(s) for the faithful performance of the work, as prescribed in the bidding documents. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bond within the time stated in specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder and Subcontractors, shall hold or obtain such licenses and registrations as required by Washington State Statutes and Codes, and federal and local Laws and Regulations. All work performed on this project shall be subject to the Federal Davis Bacon Act Wage Rates and the Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates. The successful Bidder will be required to conform to the wage requirements prescribed by the federal Davis-Bacon and Relate Acts which requires that all laborers and mechanics employed by contractors and subcontractors performing on contracts funded in whole or in part by SRF appropriations in excess of $2000 pay their laborers and mechanics not less than the prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, and determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of laborers and mechanics employed on similar projects in the area. It is anticipated that this project will be funded in part by the Washington State Department of Ecology. Neither the State of Washington nor any of its departments or employees are, or shall be, a party to any contract or any subcontract resulting from this solicitation for bids. Beacon Hill Water and Sewer District reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and waive any informality in the bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
