All bid questions must be submitted to the Engineer by 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following: Erosion control items; traffic control; grading; +-3,950 LF of 30" PVC water main; +-1,830 LF of 24" PVC water main; +-2,860 LF Horizontal directional drill; +-85 LF of Jack & Bore with 42" steel casing; +-115 LF of Jack & Bore with 24" steel casing; +-12 fire hydrant assemblies; grassing; and all associated appurtenances. All work on the Project must be completed within 365 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Bryan County Board of Commissioners prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to Bryan County, Georgia, for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids.
