Commercial Paving Project for Simonian Center and Elementary School - The scope of the project must be ADA compliant. The prevailing wage schedule for this project may be found on the district's website. The lot size is 12,711 total square feet or 1,412 square yards. Work includes, but is not limited to: Excavate and remove existing asphalt up to 4" Remove any unneeded or insufficient sub-base, haul away and dispose (depth of upto 12" as needed) Compact gravel in 6" lifts for proper compaction with a 5-10-ton vibratory roller Grade pitch for proper water run-off Pave 1.5" asphalt base coat Pave 1.5" asphalt top coat Compact with 5-ton vibratory roller Tamper all edges at a 45-degree angle Seal seams with emulsion and stone dust (excess dust will wash away in first rain)Total tonnage of asphalt required to complete job: 231 tons Paint all fire lane lines and parking lot spaces with high visibility paint.
