Intent to Bid Due Date: Jul 5th 2024, 2:00 PM EDT The Hillsborough County Engineering & Operations Department is seeking competitive bids from experienced and qualified Contractors with a proven and documented track record of grinding existing Portland cement concrete pavement to substantially eliminate joint faulting and to restore proper drainage, ride characteristics, and skid resistance to the pavement surface.
The estimated project budget is $1,150,000.00
Insurance is required Scope
1.1.1 The Hillsborough County Engineering & Operations Department (E&O) is seeking a
licensed General Contractor in the State of Florida to provide sidewalk grinding services for
the maintenance and improvement of public sidewalks at various locations within the
County.
1.1.2 The work needed for this contract will be on an "AS-NEEDED" basis.
1.1.3 If available, the county will provide external plan sheets, construction plan sets, or
sketches and any detailed instruction from the Project Manager (PM) assigned will be done
in writing, detailed and provided with the subsequent Purchase Order issued.
1.1.4 The contractor is required to render any and all infrastructure and appurtenances
associated with or disturbed by the work to an operable condition as determined by the PM.
Any work associated with refurbishment to prior conditions that need to be done outside of
the original purchase order will be paid from the Allowance.
1.1.5 Work orders are expected to be completed at a rate of 500 linear feet per day by the
contractor and are estimated to be issued at a rate no less than 250 linear feet per work
order, unless mutually agreed upon by both parties. Reference clause 2.8 Estimated

1.1.6 Temporary traffic control permits may be required for this project. Permits needed
for work under this contract will be at no cost to the Contractor. See details for Maintenance
