Renovation of an educational facility in Newport News, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Sealed bids are invited for the construction/renovation of Christopher Newport University's Partial Roof Replacement for Ratcliffe Hall. The project is generally described as partial roof replacement on Ratcliffe Hall asindicated in the construction documents which includes the removal and replacement of approximately 28,000 sf of existing single ply roofing (both system and insulation down to the existing metal roof decking, to include associated work for metal flashing, roof drains, rooftop equipment, equipment curbs and the repair of existing slate tile mansard roof. The work includes replacement of the existing building roof insulation (bringing it up to code standards and sloping it to drains), wall and curb flashings, removal and re-installation ofsome existing and new mechanical equipment, metal flashings, removal and replacement of metal coping, roof drains rework (including the addition of code required overflow drainage), walk pads, miscellaneous metal work and painting, as well asrepairs. Removal of severalskylights, and one fan on the high roof. Once all the roof work is complete, the contractor must provide a full NDL 20-year roof warranty for entire building roof area of construction. A Bid Bond is required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
