The City of Walnut Creek (City) is a full-service municipality serving 70,000 residents and is located in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The City is approximately 19.8 square miles in size and has a work force of approximately 350 employees. The Engineering Division provides engineering supports to the various City operating departments, implements the City's Capital Improvements Program and perform Engineering plan review for all private development projects. General work includes annexation, surveying, special studies, mapping and responding to the citizens of Walnut Creek and other agencies. The Public Works Department of the Engineering Division requests a Statement of Qualifications (SOQs) from firms desiring to provide On-Call Structural Engineering Consulting Services on various City improvement projects as they become available The project scope will be developed on a project-by-project basis and will be defined in each task order issued under a master agreement. The work may include, but is not limited to, developing building and structural maintenance projects, condition assessment and evaluation reporting, code compliance/upgrades including California Building Code Standards.
