Site work for a civil project in Victoria Mines, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Construction of a new wastewater interception and treatment system for the community of New Victoria (NV). The new interceptor system is expected to consist of one new sewer lift station and pressure main, gravity sewers for both raw and treated effluent, a combined sewer overflow and possible upgrades to the outfall in Sydney Harbour. The new wastewater treatment plant is upgradient on a parcel of land that CBRM is in the process of acquiring (Property ID: 15267057). The recommended process for NV is an aerated lagoon with UV disinfection. The treated effluent will be conveyed back to the Daily Road Outfall via new gravity infrastructure. TIMELINE: Tender and construction of the interceptor and WWTP design and equipment selection anticipated in 2025. Construction of the WWTP will occur in 2026-27. Further update may be available in 2025.
