Obtain up to two (2) Contractors to provide the clearing of City streets of debris and/or snow from public property and public right-of-ways in the City of Virginia Beach caused by any sudden or man-made disaster. The Contract depends upon the occurrence of emergency or disaster conditions requiring a response that is beyond the capabilities of the City of Virginia Beach. The City plans to execute multiple emergency road clearing contracts, on a standby basis, for the purpose of having multiple contractors immediately available to assist the City in the aftermath of a major disaster. The contract to be awarded will be a standby contract that will be activated only in the face of an emergency. As such, no compensation will accrue to the Contractor unless and until the contract is activated either in anticipation of a natural disaster or immediately after a natural or man-made disaster or emergency. The City of Virginia Beach Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any or All Bids in Whole or in Part and to Waive Any Informalities in the Bid Process and Reserves the Right to Enter Into Any Contract Deemed to Be in Its Best Interest. The Contract term shall be one (1) year, beginning upon award of the contract and expiring one (1) year thereafter. Submit questions about the specifications in writing no later than June 13, 2024
