Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
This design-bid-build work includes replacing the existing electrical substation located east of Building 77H. The proposed action is required as the existing substation is beyond its' life expectancy and has experienced intermittent failures. The proposed action does not include any alterations to character defining features of Buildings 77H or 670. The proposed action includes the removal of components/surfaces finished with Lead based paint (LBP) resulting from a Hazardous Material Investigation. All LBP must be removed and disposed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. All LBP must be abated by a certified Lead abatement contractor. This procurement has one (1) option bid item. The first option bid item is CLIN 0002 for the replacement of the North and South Bus Duct in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The work includes the replacement of the east substation for Building 77H. Also included in the replacement of the substation is the replacement of two exterior pad mounted interrupter switches, two oil-filled exterior pad mounted transformers, and interior low-voltage double ended switchgear. Incidental work includes modifications to the interior and exterior fencing, fire suppression additions and architectural work to the exterior walls supporting new electrical penetrations. Existing electrical systems will need to be temporarily supported and maintained during the installation of the new electrical infrastructure. Question Deadline 07/05/2024 RFIs must be submitted in writing to Francis Caruso at francis.a.caruso10.civ@us.navy.mil and Charles Saunders at charles.l.saunders27.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 5 calendar days after the site visit. Responses for RFIs submitted after the cut-off are not guaranteed, however every effort will be made to respond to those RFIs
