The project consists of the following pavement work: Mill the wedged curbline and place approximately 525 tons of asphalt surface pavement on Hanover Avenue between Western Road and approximately 140 feet north of Jackson Street. The area shall be placed with 1.75" thick 5 LT 58- 28S hot mix asphalt placed in one lift. Contractors shall provide all warning signs and traffic control for the construction. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or cashier's check in an amount equal 5% of the total bid. The contractor selected by the City must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, in the amount of 100% of the bid, to guarantee satisfactory completion of the work. Prevailing wage rates will NOT be in effect. Contractors shall carry Workers Compensation Insurance per Statutory Limits, Contractors General Liability Insurance and Automobile Insurance, each with a minimum bodily injury and property damage coverage of $1,000,000. The bidder, to whom a contract is awarded, shall submit the appropriate insurance certificates to the City of Cedarburg. The City of Cedarburg reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the City. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the opening of the bids without written consent from the City.
