for Fur- Nishing All Tools, Materials and Labor, and Performing the Work Necessary to Construct the Rough Grading for the Trails Subdivision Project. Proj Ect Consisting Generally of Removal of Existing Sanitary Sewer Pipe & Structures, Clearing & Grubbing, Ex- Cavation, Import of Borrow Material, Placement of Embankments, and Es- Tablishment of Erosion Control Mea- Sures to Prepare an Approximate 68 Acre Site for Residential Development in Accordance With the Proposed Contract Documents, Plans, and Specifications. Please Note: the Mu- Nicipal Building Lobby is Open to the Public; the Remainder of the Building is Secured. Upon Entering the Munic Ipal Building, Please Check in at the Neighborhood Services Window or the Customer Service Window and Ask for the City Clerk. Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents for the Construction of Said Public Improvements of Said Project Have Been Adopted by the City Council of Said City and Are on File in the Office of the City Clerk and the Office of the City Engineer of the City of Sand Springs. Contract Requirements Shall Include Compliance as Required by Law Per-Taining to the Practice of Nondis- Crimination in Employment. Any Bid Received More Than Nine- Ty-six (96) Hours Excluding Satur- Days, Sundays, and Holidays Before the Time Set for the Opening of Bids, or Any Bid So Received After the Time Set for Opening of Bids, Shall Not Be Considered and Shall Be Returned Unopened to the Bidder Submitting Same. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Owner in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed to, delivered or sent by facsimile to all parties recorded by Owner as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than two days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Question Deadline 07/15/2024 A Certified or Cashier's Check or Bidder's Surety Bond, in the Sum of Five Percent (5%) of the Amount of the Bid Will Be Required From Each Bidder, to Be Retained as Liquidated Damages in the Event the Success- Ful Bidder Fails, Neglects, or Refuses to Enter Into Said Contract for the Construction of Said Public Improve- Ments for Said Project, and Furnish the Necessary Bonds Within the Thir- Ty (30) Days From and After the Date the Award is Made. Pursuant to the Provisions of 68 O.s. 1356 Sales of Personal Property or Services to Contractors Who Have Duly Entered Into Public Contracts, or Subcontractors of Such Public Contracts, That Are Necessary for Carrying Out Such Public Contract Are Exempt From Sales Taxes. Therefore, a Bidder May Exclude From the Bid Appropriate Sales Taxes Which Will Not Be Required to Be Paid for Ac- Quisition of Such Tangible Personal Property or Services Necessary to the Carrying Out of Such Contract.the Bidder to Whom a Contract is Awarded Will Be Required to Furnish Public Liability and Workmen's Com- Pensation Insurance. Additionally, for Bids in Excess of $100,000, Per- Formance, Statutory, and Mainte- Nance Bonds Acceptable to the City, in Conformity With the Requirements of the Proposed Contract Documents Will Be Required. The Performance, Statutory, and Maintenance Bonds Shall Be for One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price.
