The proposed work consists of the replacement of four vehicle slide gates located at the City of West Sacramento Police Department facility at 550 Jefferson Blvd. The project includes the removal of existing gates and openers, providing and installing new gates and openers, utilizing existing electrical, access controls, Knox boxes, and ground loops. This project is funded by FEMA. All project work must meet all applicable codes and requirements. The Contractor shall provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals, and shall perform all work necessary to deliver a completed, workmanlike project ready for safe use and economical maintenance by City staff. Project Scope Furnish and Replace Four (4) Slide Gates at Three (3) Gate Openings. Gate Replacements o The three openings include: two entrances that each require a single slide gate, and one exit that is a double slide gate. Four gates in total. o Remove and chain-link vehicle gates and replace with 8' tall ornamental iron slide gates. o Gates are to be pressed spear, 3/4" pickets, 2" frame overhead roller style slide gates. o Gates are to either have minimal picket spacing or be backed with expanded metal or wire mesh (with safety edges installed). o All gate metal is to be powder coated black gloss. o Pedestrian gates are not included in this project. Gate Operators o Remove and replace existing gate operators with Liftmaster CSL24UL gate operators or equivalent high-traffic commercial slide gate operator. o Install new drive chains and gears. o Install reflective photo beams. o Gate operators will utilize existing electrical, access controls, Knox boxes, and ground loops.
