Saving Project...

Site work, outdoor lighting and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for the construction of a one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.

Construction of a 1 ha (2.3 acres) park is located at 801 Wellington St. W, near Strachan Avenue. The scope of work includes a four seasons washroom on site, located along Wellington St W. The park features an upper plateau with an open lawn, framed by a curving berm. The topography of the plateau and berm also define the lower park, which features a linear rain garden and native pollinator meadows, spaces for more intimate and reflective experiences. TIMELINE: Detailed design is underway for this project and the site at 10 Ordnance Street. Community Engagement began summer 2023 and is ongoing. Tender for general contractor is anticipated fall 2024. Construction is expected spring 2025 and will take 36 months to complete.
