Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Kodiak, Alaska. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
USCG Major M&R Building N1, Base Kodiak, AK The Work consists of major interior and exterior maintenance and repair of Building N1, including architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection modifications. Notable aspects of the work: The building is occupied by the base maintenance contractor's Motor Pool and Roads and Grounds departments. The project shall be phased in accordance with the contract documents so that these activities can continue during the Work. Phasing of the Work shall require a temporary office and restroom be provided for use by the maintenance contractor during the Work. Exterior Work includes replacement of existing buried utilities. Due to the presence of contaminated soil in the vicinity of the project site, all excavations and dewatering shall be completed in accordance with an ADEC-approved Environmental Management Plan (EMP) and Dewatering Plan. The USCG has provided a Draft ADEC-approved Environmental Management plan (EMP) and Dewatering Plan as part of the Task Order Announcement. All pre-proposal inquiries regarding this project shall be submitted in writing via electronic email to the Design Project Manager, Justice Harlan, harlan.j.justice@uscg.mil and Contract Specialist, John Wright, John.Wright@uscg.mil Questions shall reference the drawing/detail and/or specification section including paragraph number. The Government may not respond to questions submitted after 18 July 2024.
