Site work for a mixed-use development in Mallard, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.
Work will generally include installing 2,537 LF of 15" plastic pipe, 3 underground concrete structures, and electric fencing for a proposed wetland enhancement. Also includes cattle crossing within existing ditch and all associated work and incidentals required to complete the project. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Section 468.35aof the Iowa Code in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Base Bid plus all Alternates. Work on the improvement shall commence upon approval of the contract by the Board, and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work under the Contract must be substantially completed (construction portion) no later than November 15th, 2024 with a final completion date (seeding portion) no later than December 15th, 2024. Damages in the amount of $175.00 per day, for the construction portion and substantial completion date, will be assessed for each day the work remains incomplete. Damages in the amount of $125.00 per day, for the seeding portion and final completion date, will be assessed for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. The Palo Alto County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
