Okemos Public Schools - 2022 Bond Program Bid Package No. 3.B - 2024 New Chippewa. The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: renovation of a 100,000-square-foot educational facility. As of June 26, 2024, a general contractor has not yet been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. All contractors bidding on work must be bondable and must include on their bid form the cost for furnishing a Co-Obligee Labor and Material Payment Bond and a Co-Obligee Performance Bond. On the proposal form the contractor will identify a cost for it to be added to their bid should bonds be required. The trades being sought for this project include, but are not limited to, the following: Concrete, Masonry, Structural Steel, Roofing, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical. All questions are to be directed to the Construction Manager, sent to Reece Moran (reece.moran@christmanco.com) and Shane Lounsberry (shane.lounsberry@christmanco.com). No direct contact with the Owner or Architect is allowed. Prebid RFI's are due by end of day on Thursday, July 11th , 2024. No questions will be answered after this date. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers' check, money order, or bid bond made payable to The Christman Company in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid as a bid security. The Bid Security of Bidders under consideration will be returned immediately after award of contracts by the Construction Manager. The amount of the guarantee shall be forfeited to the Owner if the successful Bidder fails to enter into a contract and furnish required bonds and insurance within 30 days after award of contracts. The Owner, Architect, and Construction Manager reserve the right to waive any irregularities, reject any or all proposals, or accept any proposal, which, in their opinion, will serve their best interest. Post bid interviews will be scheduled for the 7/29/24-7/31/24. Bidders must have availability for an interview during that time.
