The Town of Fuquay-Varina is soliciting bid proposals for the NC-55 and James Slaughter Road Intersection Improvements project. The project work includes constructing intersection improvements at NC-55 and James Slaughter Road (SR-1399), including pavement, drainage, signal modifications, and pedestrian facility improvements. For comprehensive project requirements, please refer to the plans and specifications provided. All interpretations related to this RFB must be submitted in writing to the Project Manager, Sherry Earley, PE, (searley@fuquay-varina.org) by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. All responses to timely submitted requests for interpretation will be addressed in the form of an addendum. The final addendum will be posted to the Town website by 5:00 PM on Thursday, July 18, 2024. The Contractors submitting a bid for this project must possess the proper license classification to perform the Work elements contained in the specifications in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes; and if selected, provide a copy of their active license to the Owner. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the Town of Fuquay-Varina, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract The Town of Fuquay-Varina reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason or no reason and accept the bid most favorable to the Town of Fuquay-Varina.
