The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to provide complete lawn mowing of the ECSU campus. Refer to the campus map to confirm the area to mow. Approximately 87 acres of grass to be cut. It is the Contractor's responsibility to inspect and confirm lawn areas and acreage. All the mulching planter beds, weeding, weed whacking, shrub and tree trimming services will be handled by ECSU staff. The scope of work that the base price should be based on mowing the main campus on a weekly needed basis. The contractor shall provide enough personnel to accomplish such services at the area they are assigned to maintain. The contractor's employees shall perform tasks as assigned by the Institution. Requests from Institution personnel should be honored whenever possible. Any problems with assigned tasks or complaints on working conditions shall be directed to the Institution Representative or designee. The contractor shall provide complete mowing services within the campus boundaries of all lawn areas around buildings, parking lots, and all other areas (excluding the athletic fields) as shown on the attached map. Direct all questions and inquiries relative to the conditions and specifications listed herein to: Kate Rotella, Director of Fiscal Affairs for Acquisitions and Auxillary Services Email: purchasing@easternct.edu and rotellac@easternct.edu Mowing shall be performed with rotary, reel, or other appropriate mowing equipment to maintain lawn areas in a neat and manicured condition. Grass shall be maintained at two (2) inches during the growing season and three (3) inches for the dry season. It is ECSU estimates that maintenance may require lawn mowing approximately twice a week during the growing season and once a week (or less) for the dry season. This is an approximate schedule, and the Institution reserves the right to request additional cuts or less services as seasonal needs and conditions dictate. WORK WEEK: Except as otherwise noted, the Contractor shall perform all listed services on weekdays (Monday - Friday) between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. The Contractor shall not perform loud services around campus dormitories before 9:00 am or around classroom buildings when classes are in session. The assigned workdays may not be changed without permission of the Institution Representative. The Institution may require the Contractor to alter workdays or work hours to meet special Institution or scheduled needs (i.e., graduations, sports events, etc.). These services shall not result in additional cost to the Institution.
