"This project will be constructed by the Department of Adult Corrections Inmate Construction Apprenticeship Program (CAP) No bidding will take place" SCOPE OF WORK The project is located at J, L, M areas of Piedmont Cl for Piedmont CI Reupholstery Plant Renovation, located at 1245 Camp Rd., Salisbury N.C. 28147. The work consists of replacement of two existing fire rated doors that no longer have visible UL labels to meet fire-rated requirements of separating the existing 1-# Institutional from the newly formed F-1 Factory. The doors being replaced will have ADA compliant hardware. Electrical upgrades include: o Relocate linear sewing area equipment power connections and panel to existing mattress fabrication area. o Provide power to two laser cutting machines. o Provide power to new HVAC equipment serving the existing mattress fabrication area. o Provide equipment power for new and relocated equipment in the new mattress fabrication area. o Replace the existing load center in the new mattress fabrication area with a new panel board. Evaluate the capacity of the existing panel feeder to support the load requirements and upgrade if necessary. o Provide return air smoke detection in one existing HVAC system and one new HVAC system. o Review fire alarm notification and smoke detection in areas of work for compliance with current codes and standards. Mechanical upgrades include: o Provide ductwork for one (1) laser cutting machine to be located where linear sewing is currently located. o Existing exhaust fan to be abandoned in place and disconnected. o Provide and install new packaged A/C unit that will be replacing existing. o Provide and install new packaged Heat Pump unit for future linear sewing area. Including ductwork and air distribution as required. o Existing AHU in future linear sewing area is to be abandoned in place. No work to this unit or ductwork other than cutting ductwork to allow for new ductwork to be routed.
