The successful bidder must comply with requirements set out in the contract documents including all Federally Required Contract Provisions including but not limited to the Buy American Preference, Foreign Trade Restrictions, Affirmative Action Requirements, Government wide Debarment and Suspension, Government-wide Requirements for a Drug-free Workplace, and Non-Segregated Facilities Requirements. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of not less than five (5) percent of the total amount bid. No bid may be withdrawn prior to 90 calendar days after bid opening The successful bidder shall commence work with adequate force and equipment on a date to be specified in a written order of the Owner and shall complete work within the time prescribed in the contract documents. The Virginia Highlands Airport Authority, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
