Renovation of a museum in Muscatine, Iowa. Design plans call for the renovation of a museum.
The proposed project includes the stabilization and rehabilitation of 7 -10 historic properties located in downtown Muscatine. The selected firm will provide technical assistance to City staff to confirm the proposed projects comply with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards and Guidelines for Archeology and Historic Preservation and may provide design and project management services to subgrantees for the targeted property. At a minimum proposal should include the following information: . Description of Experience with preservation of historic building. . Description of Experience with federally funded programs. . Description of organizational capacity to complete all necessary activities, including resumes of all employees who will be assigned to this project. . References from previous clients of related work within the past five years. . Firm is not on Department of Labor debarred or suspended list. . Please indicate if the firm is a Minority Business Enterprise/Women's Business Enterprise. . Experience with other applicable federal and state regulations, including Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and Section 507 of the Housing & Community Development Act of 1987. As of June 18, 2025, the design firm has been selected. Information regarding general contractor selection timeline has not been released. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been disclosed.
