Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Leesburg, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the demolition of a road / highway; road / highway; and road / highway.
The proposed project consists of demolishing and replacing the existing parking lot at the Mispah-Simmons Apartment Complex in accordance with the specifications outlined within the Invitation for Bid (IFB) package. The parking lot is the original parking lot of the property that supports the 12-unit apartment complex. This project is funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Current Parking Lot(s) 3.1.1. The existing parking area has significant cracks and deficiencies. 3.1.2. The existing parking lot consists of concrete but will be replaced with asphalt. 3.1.3. The existing parking lot will be demolished and replaced. 3.1.4. The parking lot does not contain any underground utilities or lighting that will be affected by this project. 3.2. Preparation 3.2.1. The Contractor shall assess all points of the existing parking lot. 3.2.2. Demolish and remove all existing concrete of the current parking lot. 3.2.3. The Contractor shall ensure that the surface to be paved is cleaned and rid of concrete, rocks, roots, and any other natural materials. 3.2.4. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to verify all site conditions 3.3. Installation of New Parking Lot 3.3.1. The Contractor will furnish and install the new parking in its entirety, including all labor, materials, and equipment. 3.3.2. The Contract will slope the surface to the west of the property line. 3.3.3. The Contractor will slope the concrete so that is graded with the street. 3.3.4. Installation must be in accordance with the terms and conditions in this IFB. 3.3.5. All work must meet all applicable federal,state, and local codes and must be performed by licensed Contractors. 3.3.6. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits and inspection approvals for this project. 3.3.7. The Contractor is responsible for initiating, maintaining, and supervising all safety precautions in connection with the installation of the new parking lot. 3.3.8. The Contractor is responsible for all signage and fencing to safely enclose the work area. 3.3.9. The Contract shall complete the project within 90 days of the Notice to Proceed. 3.3.10. The new parking lot shall include: 3.3.10.1. Demolition of Existing Concrete 3.3.10.2. Subgrade for the New Base and Paving City of Leesburg, Florida Mispah Parking Lot Replacement - Rebid (250301) SCOPE OF WORK / SPECIFICATIONS Page SW-2 of 2 3.3.10.3. 6" Limerock Base Graded and Compacted 3.3.10.4. 1 1/2" SP-9.5 Asphalt 3.3.10.5. Concrete Curbs 3.3.10.6. Striping and Bumpers 3.3.10.7. Mobilization/Supervision 3.4. Additive Options 3.4.1. The City may elect to expand the Mispah Apartments parking lot to include the grass area indicated on Exhibit A. 3.4.2. The area is estimated to be 4,000 square feet (445 square yards). 3.4.3. The new parking lot shall include: 3.4.3.1. Removal of grass. 3.4.3.2. Subgrade for the New Base and Paving 3.4.3.3. 6" Limerock Base Graded and Compacted 3.4.3.4. 1 1/2" SP-9.5 Asphalt 3.4.3.5. Concrete Curbs 3.4.3.6. Striping and Bumpers 3.4.3.7. Mobilization/Supervision The City encourages small and minority businesses, women-owned businesses and labor surplus area firms to participate in this Solicitation.
