Renovation of a mixed-use development in St. Albert, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and municipal facility.
There has been changes to dates or times related to Deadline for Questions (July 12, 2024, 2:00:00PM local time) to JULY 17, 2024, 2:00:00PM local time This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the City of St. Albert (the "City") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Construction Management Services for Maloney and Beaudry Place Renovations. The Construction Manager shall participate with the Owner in the Pre-Construction Phase to assist in matters of budgeting, constructability, construction document review, proposed phasing at both locations (Maloney Place and Beaudry Place) requiring renovation scope of work. The CM will provide budget pricing with the assistance of all related major subtrades to a Class 'B' level estimate approaching pre-tender accuracy. Upon agreed to scope the CM will then be engaged to implement and fulfill the construction of the work as Construction Manager/General Contractor. Phase 1: Renovations at Beaudry Place Start of demolition and hazardous materials removal within the first-floor area. Renovate/construct the area with new open concept bull pen, gender neutral washroom/change room area, additional offices, storage and policing related rooms. These areas include scope of work related to removal and disposing of hazardous material, demolition, updating and supplying of mechanical, electrical, and interior finishes. (Including by not limited to lighting, millwork, plumbing of bathroom fixtures and piping, and doors complete with hardware) Phase 2: Continued renovation of Beaudry Place and renovation of Maloney Place. Continued renovations to Beaudry Place to finish first floor and secondary floor to have ready for transition/phasing of staff from Maloney Place to allow non-disruptive policing services. Start renovations/improvements to selected areas of Maloney Place, followed by larger areas once transition of services is moved to Beaudry Place. Areas include updating to locker rooms (male and female), kitchen, front counter/reception area, dispatch, and areas related to police services. These areas include scope of work related to demolition, updating and supplying of mechanical, electrical, and interior finishes. (Including by not limited to lighting, millwork, plumbing of bathroom fixtures and piping, and doors complete with hardware) With Maloney Place being built in 2001 with building codes removing the use of hazardous material from the construction practice, there is currently no indication needing any abatement at this time.
