Lois Hole Boardwalk (John. E. Poole Boardwalk) is located within Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park (LHCPP) near the day use area. Currently, there are several indications of structural failure throughout the boardwalk and an assessment is required to determine the recommended repairs. This boardwalk is situated within a wetland and is utilized by many different groups for learning opportunities and is loved by locals. TIMELINE: The owner is seeking proposals from qualified consultants who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to complete the assessment, provide recommendations, and engage with stakeholders. The objectives of the project are to develop cost effective recommendations for repair and/or upgrades of the existing boardwalk, based on the assessment, public safety, accessibility, and visitor experience considerations. The deliverable will be a detailed assessment report, complete with recommended option(s) for repair and/or upgrades of the existing boardwalk. Further update pending award of contract.
