Senior Center Rehabilitation Project Question Deadline 10/15/2024 Questions or requests for clarifications regarding the Project, the bid procedures or any of the Contract Documents may only be submitted in writing by email to the Project Manager listed below Questions received any later may not be addressed before the bid deadline. An interpretation or clarification by City in response to a written inquiry will be issued in an addendum. Christiana Giedd cgiedd@cityofripon.org For purposes of this Section 3, a Bidders are strongly encouraged to submit such inquiries at least five working days before the scheduled bid opening Location and Description. The Project is located at 433 S. Wilma Avenue and consists of landscaping, exterior renovation, and installation of a pergola pre-purchased by the City. The work comprises the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment required to complete this project as detailed on the plans and in the specifications for this contract. Time for Completion. The planned time frame for substantial completion of construction of the project is 60 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. Bonds. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount in the form of cash, a cashier's check, a certified check made payable to the City of Ripon, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent 100% of the maximum Contract price. Bid Security of ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount in the form of cash, a cashier's check, a certified check made payable to the City of Ripon, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California. For your convenience, a Bid Bond form is included in the Contract Documents. Contract Specific Goal. Bidders are advised that due to federal funding and as required by federal law, the City is implementing Minority Business Enterprises/Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) requirements. It is the bidder's responsibility to verify that MBE/WBE firm is certified as MBE/WBE at date of bid opening. To verify certified MBE/WBE businesses, please visit https://californiaucp.dbesystem.com/ The Contract-Specific Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goal is 24.3 percent. The Contract-Specific Women Business Enterprise (WBE) goal is 6.9 percent. The Contract-Specific MBE/WBE goal percentage is the percentage of all established firms (MBE/WBEs and Non-MBE/WBEs) by work categories within the City of Ripon's market area. (Defined as Alameda County, Amador County, Calaveras County, Contra Costa County, Mariposa County, Merced County, Sacramento County, San Joaquin County, Santa Clara County, Stanislaus County, Tuolumne County and Yolo County) License and Registration Requirements 4.1 Contractor's License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classifications(s): B. The successful bidder and its Subcontractor(s) must possess the California contractor's license(s) in the classification(s) required by law to perform the Work. Rejection of Bids; Award of Contract. City reserves the right, acting in its sole discretion, to waive immaterial bid irregularities, to accept or reject any and all bids, or to abandon the Project entirely. Engineer's Estimate: $ 365,000.00
