Reference Number 0000355896 Engineer's Estimate: The Engineer's Estimate for this project is $1,020,000.00. The project is located on Mill Street in Santa Paula between Mill Place and Terracina Street and north of the intersection with Terracina Street to an existing valve. Project scope includes water system improvements, pavement replacement, and related improvements. The project Plans reflect the waterline replacements and differing limits of Work. As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for a public works project which consists of improvements on Mill Street involving installation of an 8 inch diameter potable water pipeline installation in a mostly new alignment (removal of the existing in areas of conflicts) and related connections to existing water mains and improvements, temporary water highline system, pavement removal, excavation, thrust blocks, precast concrete pressure reducing valve station and interior vault pipeline appurtenances, miscellaneous water improvements, pressure testing, flushing and disinfection, bacteriological testing, backfill and compaction, replacement trench paving, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvement, as indicated on the project plans, in the City of Santa Paula. Bids shall conform and be responsive to the Contract Documents for the Work. The project is located on Mill Street in Santa Paula between Mill Place and Terracina Street and north of the intersection with Terracina Street to an existing valve. Project scope includes water system improvements, pavement replacement, and related improvements. The project Plans reflect the waterline replacements and differing limits of Work. The Contractor must possess Class A- General Engineering Contractor license in good standing, issued by the Contractors License Board, at the time the contract is awarded. Question Deadline 07/18/2024 at 3:00 PM PT Questions may be sent via electronic mail to the attention of the interim City Engineer Bob Woodward, robert@m6consultinginc.com. Questions submitted after this time shall not be responded to. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, and a Payment (Material and Labor) Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Total Bid Price, on the forms provided and, in the manner, described in the Bid Documents. The Bid Bond will be forfeited should the bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract and provide the required Performance and Payment Bonds and Certificate(s) of Insurance within ten (10) calendar days after the date of receipt of Notice of Award of the Contract pursuant to the terms of said Bid Bond. Liquidated damages for avoidable delays shall be $500.00 per consecutive day in excess of the Contract Time for the completion of the Work. See General Provisions Section 6-9.1 for additional information. Contract time for completion of the Work shown in the Bidding Documents is 90 Working Days. Once the work is started, it must be continuously performed until completion.
