Scope of Services The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System ("MTS") is soliciting proposals from qualified proposers for the manufacture and delivery of up to an estimated amount of three-hundred fifty (350) bus benches, including anti-sleeping / laying down (seat delineators) seats, feet with anchors and back rest to accommodate advertising and branding opportunities. The benches will be part of a coordinated street furniture project located in the public right-of-way within selected cities within the MTS service territory. The resultant contract to manufacture and deliver an estimated amount of 350 new benches during a five (5) year period. The coordinated street furniture program for MTS shall be of the highest of standards, improve and maintain safe pedestrian through ways, and comply with all Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. MTS encourages the participation of DBEs, minority owned businesses (MBEs), women owned businesses (WBEs), disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBEs), lesbian gay bisexual transgender owned businesses (LGBTBEs) persons with disabilities business enterprises (PDBE) and small businesses (SB) in the performance of all of its contracts. MTS encourages the Contractor to outreach to DBEs and other small business enterprises for any potential subcontracting opportunities on this project. MTS intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to the successful Proposer whose Proposal presents the most advantageous terms to the Agency, price, and scope of work/technical elements having been considered. MTS reserves the right to withdraw this RFP at any time without prior notice, and MTS makes no representations that any contract will be awarded to any Proposer responding to this RFP.
