The primary UVM requirement covered by this bid is line clearance (tree pruning and removal) on distribution circuit rights-of-way. The primary UVM requirement covered by this bid is line clearance (tree pruning and removal) on distribution circuit rights-of-way. In accordance with the line clearance specifications presented herein, the Contractor will prune and/or remove ROW vegetation on the distribution circuits listed on the Bid Sheet. Circuit diagrams (maps) for each circuit (Project) are attached. The lines will be constructed as shown on the attached aerial maps. The ROW crosses numerous properties; the ROW is open in some places and is heavily wooded in others. Machine clearing may be utilized where permitted and practicable; otherwise, hand cutting and manual side trimming must be used. The Contractor will be responsible for notifying property owners of impending line clearance work on their properties. Further, the Contractor will be responsible for the disposal of brush, wood chips, and other debris resulting from line clearance activities. The Contractor will bear all disposal costs.
