Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bryan, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

As of August 21,2024, project was awarded to Brazos Paving, Inc, awarded amount is $2,804,152.50. Asphalt maintenance on targeted roadways, which may include base failure repairs, milling, wedge grinding, mix-in-place, overlaying streets, and replacing street markings. Along some of these treated roadways, flat work, such as C&G, sidewalk, and driveway repairs may be required. It is preferred that roadways are functional and carrying traffic the same day of the performed work. (Overnight street closures are not recommended, except for construction of the concrete roadways. Other roadway which may require street closures, shall be discussed with the Project Manager.) Remaining funds under the contract may be redirected by the Street & Drainage Department. Current bidding quantities include, but not limited to: o Approximately 17,200 tons of Type D HMAC o Plaining and milling o Wedge grinding (7ft minimum, each side) o 6" base failure repairs o 3% mix in place at 6" depth (and 12" depth), with RC250 Grade 5 aggregate (0.25 Gal/SY & 1 CY/135 SY), applied prior to overlay o C&G, sidewalks, driveways o Pavement markings (including the installation of Type 1 Thermoplastic) Question Deadline 07/17/2024 at 10:00 AM CT Deadline for written requests for clarifications to the RFB via electronically. The City reserves the right to modify the commencement date, subject to Owner and Contractor availability, phase the construction of the Project, or modify the schedule as needed and determined by the City due to modifications in scope. The City of Bryan reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, to waive any informalities and technicalities, to accept the offer considered most advantageous and to award the Bid to the vendor offering the best value to the City of Bryan. Additionally, all Bidders are hereby notified that the City of Bryan shall consider all factors it believes to be relevant in the determination of the best value including, but not limited to, the proximity of the Bidder as it relates to their ability to perform the contract for the City of Bryan.
