The Contractor Provider will cause the foregoing provisions to be inserted in all subcontracts for any work covered by this Contract so that such provision will be binding upon each subcontractor for standard commercial supplies of raw materials. Description The City of Brookhaven is looking for qualified firms to repair or replace the ADA Ramp for 2024. The City of Brookhaven reserves the right to reject all bids, waive technicalities and informalities, and make an award in the best interest of the City of Brookhaven. The City of Brookhaven reserves the right to eliminate certain pay items from the contract if the cost of those items exceeds the project budget. In turn, the City of Brookhaven reserves the right to add pay items to the contract at the bid price submitted by the awarded contractor. There are two specific Tasks related to this project. Task 1: Calls for the removal and replacement of one ramp, one commercial 25-ft driveway entrance sidewalk, and 175 LF of 5-ft sidewalk utilizing a "sidewalk turn down wall detail" and the installation of a handrail on the east side of Briarwood Road from The Hillcrest Apartments (3446 Buford Hwy) to Buford Hwy. Task one specifications and details are provided in the contract documents as Exhibit N. Task 2: Calls for removing and replacing sidewalk ramps and sidewalk sections other than those specified as Task 1. Task 2 specifications and details are found under the heading Project Scope. The bid sheet for Tasks 1 & 2 is in Section K of this document. The Contractor Provider shall provide the necessary machinery, tools, apparatus, or other means, and all materials and labor specified in the Contract Documents or other means necessary to complete the installation or repair of ADA ramps identified within this contract. Unless otherwise directed, all work performed shall be per the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Road Specifications, Construction of Transportation Systems (Current edition). All materials used in completing the work included in the Contract will be furnished from Georgia Department of Transportation certified suppliers only. There is no City-furnished equipment to be installed by the Contractor.
