Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Pacific Grove, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project will reconfigure the intersection of Central Ave & Fountain Ave to provide an All-Way Stop intersection, as identified in the Mitigation Measures of the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Pacific Grove Hotel. The intersection redesign shall be consistent with the guidelines described in the "Pedestrian Safety Report" prepared for the City by the Institute of Transportation Studies (November 2008). The Applicant shall pay 25% of the cost for design and construction of the reconfiguration of the intersection to accommodate a new raised pavement crosswalk across the intersection on the south side of Central Ave. The final project landscape plan for landscaping within the public right-of-way shall be designed to incorporate the new raised pavement crosswalk. All plans for construction of improvements within the public right-of-way shall be reviewed/approved by the City Engineer. All improvements within the public right-of-way shall conform to ADA requirements, including curb ramps, bulb-outs and raised pavement crosswalks. All public works construction shall conform to City and State Standards and standard engineering practices. The project will also include resurfacing Central Ave between Grand and Fountain Avenues to address its poor pavement condition (PCI 37). The total cost, for all phases including design/engineering and construction, is anticipated to be $270,000. The project is included in the City of Pacific Groves's FY 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of July 17, 2024, information regarding a design team or a general contractor is not available. A timeline for construction has not been determined. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
