Renovation of a municipal facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The intent of this Request for Qualification (the RFQ) is to seek statements of qualifications (the Responses) from parties (the Respondents) interested in piping supply and installation for the Waste-to-Energy Facility District Energy system project Phase 1. More specifically, the intent of this RFQ is to short-list up to five (5) Respondents to participate in a Tender or Request for Proposal; however, the Corporation reserves the right to short-list a greater number of Respondents. The Prime Contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the Work to complete the construction of the TETL including procurement, construction, pipe installation, and commissioning of the system, inclusive of the contractor-supplied district energy pipes. The Prime Contractor will be responsible for coordination of work of all trades and sub-trades, as well as site safety. The Prime Contractor will be responsible for coordinating the Work of this Contract with any activities happening concurrently on site. The TETL will be primarily comprised of underground bonded pre-insulated steel pipe with leak detection wiring for conveying supply and return heating water, and communications wiring in RPVC conduits. The piping system shall be compliant with the EN253, EN448, EN489 and EN 13941 standards. Documents can be obtained from https://metrovancouver.bidsandtenders.ca/
