** As of August 7,2024 ,this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on August 15,2024.** The primary scope of work, BASE BID is to 650 LF 8-inch PVC SDR-35 sewer line on Cherry Lane Alley Lane and N Grant Street, Installation of SIX (6) New Sanitary Sewer Manholes, Connecting existing EIGHT (8) Laterals to the New Sewer Line, and Alley Lane Improvements. To allow continuous operation of the sewer collection system, the contractor must install and maintain a sewer bypass system throughout the completion of all work. Each bid shall be accompanied by cash, a cashiers or certified check payable to the City of Coalinga, or bid bond issued by a corporate surety, A Performance Bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price, City Council Meeting to Award Project1 TBD Thursday, August 15, 2024 Deadline to Submit Questions/Clarifications 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2024 Addendum/Questions/Clarifications posted 5:00 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2024 Construction to Begin On or before: September 23, 2024 Construction to End2 On or before: November 04, 2024 The successful Bidder must possess or obtain a valid California Class A Contractor s license prior to the scheduled award date of this contract. Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages, the sum of $200.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all bids. Copies may be obtained at the Tri City Engineering, Inc. office for a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10.00) for a USB Flash Drive or Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for a printed set in the form of a check made payable to Tri City Engineering, Inc. Call (559) 447-9075 for an appointment. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK The principal components of the Work to be performed under these Contract Documents include the following: 1. Installing 650 LF of 8-inch SDR-35 Sewer pipe as shown in the drawings. 2. Installing SIX (6) new sanitary sewer manholes as shown in the drawings. 3. Connecting existing EIGHT (8) laterals to the main 8-inch sewer pipe. 4. Asphalt and surface restoration at the project location.
