No work in the public right-of-way will be permitted to occur during the Republican National Convention (RNC) from July 14, 2024 through July 20, 2024. All excavations must be temporarily restored or covered with a steel plate to allow through traffic or ADA compliant pedestrian access (Permits could be denied based on coordination with the Secret Service prior to July 14, 2024). Liquidated Damages, per diem: $1,000.00/Day/Location The residency requirements for this project have been waived. This project includes American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. Bidders must review and abide by the City's ARPA SWMBE Contract Compliance Procedures. The SMWBE/LSA requirement for this project is 25% of the contract base bid. The SMWBE/LSA Compliance Plan (Form A) must be submitted with the bid and is an element of bid responsiveness. SMWBE certificates must be submitted with the Form A. The emailed copy of the bond must be received by no later than 10:30 a.M. On the Same date that the bids are due for that specific official notice, or the bid will be Considered non-responsive. PAYMENT MONITORING REQUIREMENTS: All Contractors awarded a contract valued at $25,000.00 or more are required to participate in training on the City of Milwaukee's B2GNow contract compliance software within 30 days of the contract award date. Throughout the contract term, Contractors are required to regularly provide timely subcontractor payment information in the City's contract compliance software.
