Site work and paving for a road / highway in Harlem, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Paving Improvements. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of: The project will consist of overlay with 174 tons of recycled asphalt concrete 9.5 mm Superpave, 158 gallons of bitum tack coat, traffic control, and appurtenances. Time allotted for completion shall be 30 consecutive calendar days. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond drawn in favor of the City of Harlem, in the amount of at least 10% of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Harlem. Each bond shall be equal to 100% of the contract amount. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Harlem as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 days after being notified that he has been awarded the contract.
