Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Harlem, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Columbia County School District requests sealed bids from General Site Contractors for construction of: Site Improvements for New Building - Harlem High School Harlem, Columbia County, Georgia The work consists of erosion & sediment control best management practices, clearing & grading, gravity sanitary sewer lines & appurtenances, water lines, storm drainage systems, underground stormwater detention systems, asphalt & concrete pavement, parking lot striping, concrete sidewalks and stairs, signage, and tennis court construction as described in the Contract Drawings and Specifications. Contract, if awarded, will be on the basis stated in the Instructions to Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 35 days after time has been called on the date of the opening of bids. Bid documents may be reviewed at the Columbia County School District office of Facilities, Maintenance & Operations Division, 6000 Columbia Road, Grovetown, GA (weekdays between the hours of 7:30 a.m. & 4:30 p.m.) or the office of the engineer, EMC ENGINEERING SERVICES, INC. (Engineer), 4424 Columbia Road, Suite B, Martinez, GA 30907 (weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. & 5:00 p.m.). Bidding documents may be downloaded from online. Prospective bidders should contact the administrative assistant for the Engineer, Amy James, at amy_james@emc-eng.com for download link and instructions. Bidders shall include their contact information (company name, name of contact person, telephone no., fax no. and email address) in their email request. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the COLUMBIA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract agreement and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the COLUMBIA COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT. Each bond shall be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The Owner reserves the right to award the project on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner and to accept or to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. Any objections to the Bid Documents/Specifications as presented should be filed in writing prior to bid opening date.
